Abstract: This webinar explores the systematic implementation of Verification and Validation (V&V) processes within the framework of the ISO 15288 systems engineering standard. At the core of this approach is the V-Model, which illustrates how system baselines evolve from initial stakeholder requirements to final realized products through iterative cycles.
While verification focuses on whether a system is “built right” according to technical specifications, validation ensures that the “right product” was built to satisfy user needs in an operational environment. The material introduces the concept of the Verification Action as a digital tool to provide objective evidence of compliance through techniques such as testing, inspection, and simulation.
Finally, the webinar addresses the application of quality measures as a Verification or Validation technique to generate evidence that all engineering work products—such as requirements and models—remain consistent and correct throughout the lifecycle.
